The dancing scene:

We are looking up at Glasha in this scene while she is dancing on top of a box. Watching the camera move slowly down to her feet and back up only to land on an extended shot of her expression only adds to the dreamy/surreal feeling you get from watching this scene. This part of the movie in particular seems to be more saturated than the rest of the entire movie. The mood of this scene is sort of eerie but particularly with the context of the prior scenes.

It would be interesting from this scene on to switch perspectives occasionally to Glashas story, but not only about her story with fleura but also just as a Belarusian woman during WWII in this movie, as it seems that she has a pretty rough time by the end to say the least. I feel like this impact of this could be pretty strong, and the story being told would likely be just as captivatingly horrible as fleura's.

Something else to explore that is inspired by this scene is also to actually pepper the movie with dreamlike sequences like this, every now and then switching from tense and dark to these eerie dreamlike moments. Maybe they are getting more strange as time passes to show the decline in the mental state of fleura due to the rapid traumatizing events that occur throughout the movie.

A way to change this scene (perhaps not for the better, but more as an exploration) would maybe be to play on the already dreamlike feeling and make the scene actually become a dream sequence. An idea for this is perhaps that after the camera pans down to Glasha's feet dancing, the camera pans back up and the person dancing is now a Nazi dancing on the suitcase, the dream then becomes a nightmare.

Password Scene:

In the scene where the commander walks towards him in the forest and does not give the password, instead of letting him come to him, fleura instead actually just shoots the commander as the commander had suggested. This then spins the movie into a different direction where Fleura is now a mis-understood fugitive that is being hunted down by the very people that he was so excited to fight along side.
