The Idea
The project "Prometheus" is about the greek mythology of prometheus stealing the fire, getting punished, and being freed.
There will be three scenes. The first scene is of Prometheus stealing the fire. The second scene is of Prometheus being punished. And the final scene is of Heracles shooting the eagle off of Prometheus and freeing him.
Each scene will be done by sculpting the characters, texturing them with real painted textures, and camera movements. The figures will remain mostly still through the scenes.
The Previs
The process
The characters will be sculpted in Zbrush. Not sure if this includes the hair, I will need to see what looks better.
All texturing is going to be done through the laborious process of extracting all UV's and printing them out, then painting over them with real paint and scanning them back in.
The scene will likely be assembled in Maya, and rendered in Arnold.
I plan on doing any sort of simulations in houdini.
The Schedule
I was thinking I would start the quarter off by sculpting the characters, then I would work on texturing the characters. After the texturing for the characters is done I would want to flesh out the environments more, and then begin texturing those assets. Then on to lighting the scenes properly as well as making sure the camera movements are as I want them. Then Id like to do any simulations like cloth/ hair (Not sure if hair will be sculpted or actual hair) that would be in the scene. After this I would clean up anything that needs to be cleaned up. This includes things like the title screen, the epigram screen in the beginning, etc.

Simulations --------- 1 - 2 weeks
Any compositing -- 1 week
Rendering ---------- 1 week
Trouble Shooting - 1 week
Anything else Im forgetting - the remaining time
