02/02/23 - Class 8 - Progress Update - Heracles

Heracles Sculpt Progress

Between classes I was able to start my sculpt for Heracles in scene 3. He is not done as of right now, still need to work on a few areas (have not even touched the left arm). Other than that there is not much other progress to show.

After looking at a lot of references for Heracles it is clear that people wanted to depict him as very muscular so I went ahead and made sure that was the case in mine as well. I also decided to try sculpting the hair right onto his head (the past characters have had it separated) and I think I like this method more. Ill probably go back and change that on the others.

Next Class

By next class I will have Heracles done, as well as the third Prometheus sculpt of him on the rock.

Prometheus in the third scene has been on the rock for multiple years so I am thinking I will add length to his hair, as well as make him slightly less muscular to show that he has been there a while. The liver eating hole in his chest will be larger I am thinking? It regenerates every night according to the myth so im not sure that makes sense (maybe just make it different?) but I think artistically it is a good choice.

Any extra time will be dedicated to returning to previous sculpts and altering them.
